Plateau
A little Brighton gem where every dish just kept getting better.
One of those meals where every dish just kept getting better. A cosy yet elegant space, a great atmosphere and seriously good food.
What we ate
We started with saucisson sec and the new pumpkin fritti with spiced honey and sage. My personal favourite was the hand-cut beef tartare with caper, green peppercorn and parmesan. Incredible. The pan-fried wild sea bass with smoked beetroot was another standout, and I could have happily eaten a whole plate of the crispy new potatoes.
The hibiscus margarita was a particular favourite, and the baked cheesecake was the perfect sweet finish.
The verdict
Great food, gorgeous presentation, lovely cocktails and a cosy but elegant atmosphere. Definitely one to add to your Brighton food list.
