DOTS

Coffee by day, cocktails, small plates and smooth vinyl by night. A must-visit new addition to Brighton's food scene.

Coffee by day, cocktails, small plates and smooth vinyls by night. DOTS is bringing something special to Brighton, with specialist coffee from The Botanist Coffee Co and an evening offering from Barbino, the team behind Cin Cin.

The venue is seriously cool, with a lovely intimate vibe and a DJ spinning smooth vinyls to keep things relaxed. Casual dining done right, and the perfect setting for a date night or catch-up with friends.

What we ate

The menu might be small, but it's mighty. My highlights: the duck pastilla with mooli ketchup, the celeriac shawarma with toum dukkah, and the absolute standout pork T-bone with red pepper romesco. A seriously stunning dish!

Drinks

You can't go wrong with a classic Negroni, but the Harissa Marg was a delicious twist on a favourite. To finish, the Casablanca Carajillo: cardamom rum, Botanist espresso, date syrup and liqueur. The perfect end to the evening.

The verdict

I absolutely loved DOTS. The atmosphere was spot on, the food and cocktails were fantastic, and Barbino's reputation for high quality cooking lived up to expectations.

I was invited to try this one. As always, all opinions are my own.
